Single lady, recently employed, needs some financial assistance to get her utilities turned on. She worked for a long time until she had to quit to care for her husband. He has since entered a nursing home and she has moved into a mobile home she inherited. Prior to moving, she was unable to pay her bills and currently owes $746.00 to Northwestern Energy. They will not turn on her utilities until this debit is satisfied.

A father of two recently had to take Family Leave from his employment to care for his 9 month old daughter after her discharge from the hospital. Since he no longer has an income, he is worried about paying his rent of $400.00. He is currently one month behind and needs help.

Single, working mom with one child, has recently been displaced from her apartment due to fire damage in the building. She hopes to be able to return to her apartment soon to begin the cleaning and restoration process. In the meantime, she has to miss hours of work which is causing a financial hardship. The amount of pay she will be receiving next week will be reduced and she may not be able to pay her bills

Single mom, with two small children, is working at 2 part-time jobs. She purchased a used vehicle in April and is still making payments on it. The 1995 Ford van has transmission problems estimated to cost around $2,000.00. She needs transportation in order to get to work and for her children. At this point, she needs help with the repair costs or help with the purchase of a different vehicle. Although she can't afford the down payment on a different vehicle, she would be willing to make payments on it.

Person needs a single mattress to place on a pullout loveseat. There is a medical need to have legs elevated and they do not currently have a bed.

A 71 year old gentleman was referred to us by his doctor. He needs medication for pain and muscle tension in his neck. His medication will run out by Saturday and his Social Security check will not arrive in time to purchase the medication he needs. He is asking for financial help in the amount of $60.00.

Elderly couple, experiencing medical problems including a hospitalization, are requesting some help. They live in an older mobile home with aging appliances. At this time, their clothes dryer has stopped working - possibly a broken belt. Due to the age of the dryer, repairing it may not be an option. They would appreciate receiving a used, working dryer as they can not afford the laundromat.

Single working mom has requested help with a security deposit. Her circumstances are due to the landlord for her current rental has notified her that she (the landlord) is moving back to town and needs the rental for her own use. The family has found another place to live for $550.00 per month. They have put $300.00 toward a security deposit however the deposit is equal to 2 months rent - $1,100.00.

Older couple facing medical problems are in need of a ramp for their front door. The husband recently had hip surgery and the wife also has medical problems. The referral source is willing to provide the labor, but needs help with the cost of materials.

Gentleman, living in a house he is fixing up, requests a used air conditioner to cool his home. He would also appreciate having a lawn mower as well as a weed-eater.

Family of four is requesting help with their Northwestern Energy Bill. Husband was working until March 3rd when he entered the hospital for surgery. He was unable to return to work for approximately 6 weeks. Wife is a stay at home Mom with two young children. Since the husband works for an hourly wage, his loss of income during recovery has put them behind with their bills. They rent their home and are responsible for the utilities. They received help from LIEAP in March but their bill has continued to compound. They currently owe $332.00 to North Western Energy

UPDATE SEE BELOW: Disabled couple are experiencing additional medical problems that require a five week stay in Billings for chemotherapy for one of them. They have limited income and would like some help with gas money and traveling expenses. UPDATE: WE HAVE A DONOR WHO HAS PLEDGED $100 TOWARDS THIS NEED. THEREFORE WE ARE IN NEED OF JUST THE FINAL $100 AND THESE FOLKS ARE READY TO TRAVEL. If you can help you do not have to provide the entire $100, simply tell us how much you wish to contribute, Thank you very much.

Elderly gentleman recently moved to Lewistown. He is very low income but does receive some help with his rent. He is in need of a full or queen size complete bed. My Neighbor in Need has a donated mattress set, but since we do not have a bed frame, we are requesting financial assistance in order to purchase a metal frame - approximately $100.00.

Family of five is requesting help with furnishings for their three boys' bedrooms. They need dressers (2)and blankets for 3 single beds.
When I spoke to them, they were having problems with their gas cooking stove. NW Energy was there checking a gas odor and the family would appreciate having a better working stove.
