Neighbor in Need - Disabled Man on a low fixed income - is in need of a new walking cane. His current one is very worn and the handle is showing its age. The size needed is 32-inch tall with a 3 inch to 4 inch handle.

Neighbor in Need - Young family who are in need of tires for their car. They are on a donut and a bad tire at the moment and this is not safe and will be even less safe with the bad weather. It would be great if someone could help this family with their need.

Neighbor in Need - Husband and Wife - new to the area. Husband works and the Wife is on Disability. They do not have a viable means of transportation. Currently he walks to work but the cold is coming. They are in need of a month bus pass so he can get to his work and to the store. Neighbor in Need - Caring Mom is in need of having her heater fixed in her van. She takes her children to school in the mornings and needs this done before the weather gets cold. She is unable to pay for this at this time. Good News.... Carnahan's is able to fix the heater and make it toasty inside for a discounted price of just $44.64. Neighbor in Need - Mom and Daughter are in need of $24 so they can take a cab to the doctor on Monday, November 12th so the daughter can have her tonsils removed. They would normally take the bus but that day is a holiday and the buses do not run and she has no other way to get to the doctors. She does not know how to drive and has no family or friends that can take them to this appt. Diamond Cab Company can take them to the doctor and return them home for $21.50, but the mom is on a very low restricted income and she cannot afford the cab rides. Due to insurance reasons and liability issues they cannot be offered a ride to this appointment through My Neighbor in Need website/system. Neighbor in Need - Man needs financial help purchasing a new water heater from his older MOTORHOME which he lives in. He can install it himself, but his income is soooo limited that he canot afford to buy the water heater. We found a new water heater and can help him for a discounted price of $150. Neighbor in Need - NOV. 1st UPDATE - SEE BELOW: Cancer patient - in need of specific support attachment pieces so she can do physical therapy at home. The equipment supplier has provided the main piece of equipment at cost and a non-profit organization has purchased it for her, however she needs $292 to get the attachments so she can begin using the equipment. Without the attachments she cannot use the equipment and is unable to continue her therapy. NOV. 1st UPDATE: WE HAVE THREE DONORS WHO HAVE PLEDGED A TOTAL OF $192 TOWARDS THIS NEED LEAVING A BALANCE OF $100. IF YOU CAN HELP YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PAY RIVER'S EDGE PHYSICAL THERAPY DIRECTLY.

Neighbor in Need - Disabled couple, living in a very small assisted living apartment are in need of 2 used recliners/chairs. There is not enough room for a couch so they are hoping for a couple of chairs.

Neighbor in Need - Going back to school to improve her life. She is in need of a used but in good condition and firm queen size size mattress and box springs. Her current mattress is very old and causes her back pain.

Neighbor in Need - Elderly lady with no resources to obtain a cord or two of split fire wood to keep warm this winter. She uses the wood stove in her house to keep warm in the winter months. She does have a furnace in her home but she cannot afford to turn up the heat to keep her warm enough. She is on a very limited low income and she has no place to turn.

Neighbor in Need - Senior, Disabled Woman on a very low fixed income - is in need of a used/clean standard size couch. She does not have a couch and will be having back surgery on November 30th and she will need a couch to sit on after the surgery.

Neighbor in Need - Hard working mom is in need of buying a set of used/good condition tires for her older car. She simply cannot afford the tires right now. Two of the tires are not safe and the other two are bald. TIRE RAMA HAS A SET OF FOUR TIRES IN THE SIZE NEEDED FOR A DISCOUNTED PRICE OF $120. THAT PRICE INCLUDES INSTALLATION. Neighbor in Need - Husband & Wife in Need - Husband was injured and cannot work at this time. The Wife has medical issues and therefore they are going through a very difficult time and are currently in need of food. His last check was used to pay the October rent. They have no income at this time. They have received some food help through local agencies but are in need of some staple items such as: 2% Milk, Hamburger, Eggs, Bread, Pasta, Cheese, Butter and a few box dinner such as Hamburger Helper. Neighbor in Need - Young man's car is broken. He depends on it to get to work and back. He is in need of a used power steering pump and a single #710 belt. All can be purchased for a total of $68. His dad will help him install it.
