Neighbor In Need: Hardworking couple living on disability just relocated to the area and is in need of a sleeper sofa. They currently are using a broken futon as their only piece of furniture, and are hoping for a sleeper sofa so they have a safe place to sit, as well as a place to sleep. My Neighbor in Need - 12/12 UPDATE SEE BELOW: An Elderly lady on a low fixed income, is the victim of a phone scam. My Neighbor in Need is working with the Sheriff Department and has confirmed all of the details. She received a call from a people pretending to be a well-know Sweepstakes Company and these evil people were able to get her bank account number and immediately took what little money she had plus overdraft thus causing her account to go negative. Now she has only the $5 in her purse and owes the bank $427.14 - and has no money to pay her rent. The landlord company (Buchanan Enterprises) waived her rent. Thank you! In addition, Belt Valley Bank has also helped her by waving any fees that would have been caused by items being presented for payment. We (My Neighbor in Need and Cascade County Aging Services) were able to help her get her account closed and open a new account. However, she needed the overdraft amount $427.14 to be able to close the account. Therefore, this need was deem an emergency/immediate need so My Neighbor in Need paid the $427.14 so her account could be closed. In addition, we provided an extra $100 so she would have the ability to open the new account and have money for food. Now we are asking for help to reimburse My Neighbor in Need so we will have these funds ready for the next emergency need. UPDATE: WE HAVE A KIND DONOR WHO HAS PLEDGED $200, 12/12 UPDATE: WE HAVE ANOTHER GENEROUS DONATION OF $160 TOWARDS THIS NEED. WE NOW JUST NEED $167.14 to complete this need. You do not have to pay the entire amount. Any amount pledge will be a blessing to all we serve. Thank you.

Neighbor in need- Disabled senior woman is in need of a stackable washer and dryer due to limited space. She's been using the laundry mat as much as she can but cannot keep hauling her clothes around.
