My Neighbor in Need - 12/24 LATEST UPDATE SEE BELOW: Needs Your Help! Our 1996 GMC Delivery Truck that pulls our trailer and allows us to deliver items to those in our community who are in need, has suffered complete Transmission Failure and was towed to Carnahan's. Carnahan's has offered to put in a new, warranted transmission and repair the Truck at cost $2,500. Thank You Carnahan's! However, we simply do not have the resources to pay for this therefore we are asking for help from our community members. LATEST UPDATE: DONORS HAVE CONTRIBUTED $1,200 PLUS A GENEROUS, ANONYMOUS DONOR HAS CONTRIBUTED $500. We now are looking for help with the balance of 800 to get the truck repaired. If you have the capacity to help - you will be asked to pay Carnahan's Auto Repair on Smelter Ave directly or if you would like to receive a tax deduction for your assistance you can make a donation at My Neighbor in Need - 525 Central Ave - inside Times Square. My Neighbor in Need - Older lady is in need of someone to repair her furnace. She currently has no heat and her furnace is flashing a repair message. Our friends at B&B Heating and Cooling were able to go out to her home and make the repair for $115. If you are able to help, you can make a donation to My Neighbor in Need to help cover the cost of the repair, so that we can help the next immediate need. Neighbor In Need: Disabled woman living on no income is in need of a loveseat hide-a-bed for her apartment. She is using an air mattress to sleep on, and would like a couch so she has a place to sit and also sleep.
