My Neighbor in Need - UPDATE SEE BELOW: Senior lady living in a very old house, is in need of immediate help with an electrical problem. She lost power and when she wiggles the breakers in her panel, she hears a cracking sound. Since this has the potential of a fire, we called Cascade Electric and they went out there and were able to stop a possible fire. However, there is a significant problem. Breakers had to be replaced but she now has safe power and heat. The problem is that she cannot afford the discounted bill of $224. Cascade Electric provided a deep discount but based on her financial limitations, she has no way to pay the bill. UPDATE: WE HAVE A DONOR WHO PAID $74 TOWARDS THIS BILL. My Neighbor in Need - Veteran, who recently lost three family members in a very short period of time, is in need of help paying $86 in order for the storage unit to remove the lock placed on his unit. He has been at the same storage unit for almost 2-yrs. The Veteran is trying to get his family's belongings out of the storage unit by March 3rd, but the storage company will not remove their lock until the bill is paid. Because this was an immediate need, My Neighbor in Need paid the bill so he could get his family's belongings out, now we are asking for help to reimburse My Neighbor in Need so we can help with the next immediate need. My Neighbor in Need - Living in his car, a young man with some disabilities, is in need of gas to keep the heat on. He does receive SSDI and SSI but it is low and he has run out of money until March 3. Because of his disabilities, he cannot stay at the mission.
